RindrawA Procreate Dreams alternative for iPhone, Mac and iPad
Procreate Dreams is Procreate's animation app. It runs only on iPad, and it's sold apart from Procreate, so drawing and animating the Procreate way takes two purchases on iPad and a third for iPhone. Rindraw does both in one app, on iPad, iPhone and Mac, for one $12.99 purchase. Here's how they compare.

Where Procreate Dreams is better
- Made only for animation. Dreams has been out since November 2023, and its timeline, video editing and titles are its whole job. Rindraw's tracks, keyframes and Perform are newer.
- Type and titles. Dreams has text with typography styling for titles and credits. Rindraw has text you can animate on a track, with fewer type controls.
- Lessons. There are more Dreams tutorials and courses, and they show Dreams' own screens.
Where Rindraw is different
- One app for drawing and animating. There's nothing to move between apps: a drawing becomes an animation when you add frames or tracks, with the same brushes, layers and tools.
- iPhone and Mac. Sketch a loop on your iPhone and finish it on your Mac with a pen tablet. With your library in iCloud Drive, each device has the same drawings.
- Strokes stay strokes. Rindraw keeps each line as the path your Pencil took, so you can recolor or warp a frame's lineart after drawing it and it stays sharp. See Rindraw and Procreate.
- Animated GIF and PNG. Export a loop straight to GIF or animated PNG for the web, as well as video.
