RindrawProcreate on Mac, Windows and Android
Procreate runs only on iPad, with a smaller app, Procreate Pocket, on iPhone. Procreate has announced a Mac version for most likely 2027. There's no Windows or Android version, and none announced. Here's what works today, and what to draw with on a computer meanwhile.

The most-asked question on Procreate's forum
The request for Procreate on a computer opened in 2012, and it's one of the most-read threads on Procreate's forum: about 895,000 views and more than a thousand replies, many from artists who want to use Procreate with a pen display or a Wacom tablet. Within weeks Procreate's team replied: "We'll be watching this thread."
In March 2026 they answered properly. Procreate's team wrote that they had been working on Procreate Mac since 2025, alongside Procreate 6, and that the two "will not be released this year", with both "most likely arriving in 2027". The announcement is for the Mac. It doesn't mention Windows or Android.
Watch out for "Procreate for PC"
Because so many people search for it, sites offer "Procreate for PC" downloads, Procreate APKs for Android, and apps with Procreate in the name. None of them are Procreate. The real one comes only from Apple's App Store, by Savage Interactive. A download that claims to be Procreate for Windows is at best something else, and at worst malware.
Using Procreate with a Mac today
- Show it on the Mac's screen. On the iPad, open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring and choose your Mac. That's AirPlay: good for teaching, streaming or recording, but Procreate is still running on the iPad, and you still draw on the iPad.
- Sidecar is the other way round. It makes the iPad a second screen for the Mac, so you can draw with Apple Pencil in a Mac app. It doesn't run iPad apps on the Mac.
- Move the files. Export artworks from Procreate's gallery with Share and AirDrop them to the Mac, as .procreate files to keep their layers for Rindraw, or as PSD for other apps.

Questions
Is there Procreate for Mac?
Not yet. As of October 2026 Procreate runs only on iPad. In March 2026 Procreate announced Procreate Mac, made alongside Procreate 6, and said both are most likely arriving in 2027.
Is there Procreate for Windows or Android?
No, and none has been announced. Procreate's desktop announcement is for the Mac only.
Can I use Procreate on my Mac with Sidecar?
No. Sidecar makes the iPad a second screen for the Mac. To show Procreate on a Mac's screen, mirror the iPad with AirPlay; Procreate still runs on the iPad.
Can I open Procreate files on a computer?
Export them from Procreate first. A .procreate file opens with its layers in Rindraw for Mac; for other apps, export a layered PSD.
