The short version: Rindraw doesn't collect, store or share any information about you. Your drawings stay on your device, or in your own iCloud Drive or a folder you choose, unless you send them somewhere yourself.
This policy covers the Rindraw app for iPad, iPhone and Mac and this website, all made by Sawir Studio LLC (“we”, “us”).
What the app collects
Nothing. Rindraw has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. It doesn't send your drawings, brushes, settings or anything else to us or to anyone else.
The app connects to the internet in one case. When you choose a sample 3D model to paint, Rindraw downloads it from Poly Haven, a free library of 3D models. Poly Haven's servers receive that request, including your IP address, as any website does. Rindraw sends them nothing else.
What stays on your device
Unless you move your library elsewhere, Rindraw stores these on your device, in the app's own storage:
- Your drawings, including the history of how each was made, which powers undo and timelapse.
- Brushes, colors, palettes and app settings.
- Drawings you delete, in Recently Deleted, for 30 days.
On iPad and iPhone you can see and manage your drawings in the Files app, under On My iPad › Rindraw or On My iPhone › Rindraw. Deleting the app deletes all of it. We can't see any of it, and we can't recover it for you.
iCloud Drive and other folders
You can choose to keep your library in iCloud Drive, so it's the same on every device signed in to your Apple Account, or in a folder you pick in the Files app. In iCloud Drive, Apple stores your drawings, brushes and palettes in your iCloud account under Apple's Privacy Policy. In another folder, the service that provides it stores them under its own terms. Either way, we can't see them.
Face ID and Touch ID
If you lock a stack of drawings, your device checks your face, fingerprint or passcode itself. Rindraw only learns whether the check succeeded, and never sees your face, fingerprint or passcode.
Backups
Like any app's files, Rindraw's can be included in your iCloud or computer backups if you've turned those on. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.
Files you share or import
When you export an image, video, PDF or brush, it goes only where you send it, using the share sheet. When you open a brush or swatch file in Rindraw, it's copied into the app and stays on your device.
Information Apple provides to developers
Apple handles purchases, downloads and payments through the App Store, and we never see your payment details. Apple may give us aggregate statistics, such as download counts. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may also send us crash reports, which contain technical information about the device and the crash and are not used to identify you. You can turn this off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. The service that hosts it may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
If you email us
If you contact us, we'll receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use it only to reply to you, and we'll delete it if you ask.
Children
Rindraw collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above. If we ever wanted to start collecting any information, we'd ask you in the app first.
