Drag past the edge of the screen
Zoomed in, there's no need to let go and pan. Hold what you're dragging near the edge of the screen, and the canvas moves under it.
How to do it
- Start dragging: what's in the Transform box, one of its handles, a freehand selection, or a frame.
- Hold it near the edge of the screen. After a moment the canvas moves, faster the nearer the edge.
- Move away from the edge to stop. The drag carries on from where your finger is.
Settings
- Lock Position
- With the view's position locked, the canvas doesn't move.
Tips
- A canvas of fixed size stays in sight; an infinite canvas goes on as far as you take it.
- Painting never moves the canvas, and nor does turning the Transform box.
