Point with the Laser Pointer
Point at part of a drawing without drawing on it. A bright trail follows the pen and fades behind it, and nothing is saved.
How to do it
- Choose the Laser Pointer in the tools at the top, after Select and Transform. In a narrow window, it's in the tool button's menu.
- Draw where you want to point. A red trail follows and fades behind you.
- Lift, and the trail is gone a moment later. Nothing is drawn, saved or undone.
Settings
- Quick Menu
- Put Laser Pointer in a slot to switch to it from anywhere.
- Keyboard Shortcuts
- Give it keys, or hold its key to use it only while it's held.
Tips
- With finger drawing off, your fingers still move the canvas and only Apple Pencil points.
- The trail stays on what it points at while you pan or zoom.
- In Draw Together, everyone sees your trail, in your color.
