RindrawMoving from Photoshop to Rindraw
Rindraw opens Photoshop's own .psd and .psb files, and imports Photoshop brushes and swatches. Your files come as they are.
Step by step
- Bring your files. Put the .psd or .psb files where the iPad can reach them, such as iCloud Drive or Creative Cloud Files in the Files app, or AirDrop them from a Mac. Rindraw for Mac opens them straight from your disk.
- Bring your brushes and swatches. In Rindraw, choose Import Brushes… in the brush library for .abr files, and Import Swatch File… in Palettes for .aco and .ase.
- Open it in Rindraw. Send it to Rindraw with AirDrop or the share sheet, or save it to Files and choose Import in Rindraw's gallery, where you can pick a whole stack of files at once. Each file becomes a drawing of its own.
What comes with you
Rindraw reads each layer's pixels, name, opacity, blend mode, visibility, clipping, locks and mask, in their groups, at the file's resolution and in its color profile.

Going back
Rindraw saves drawings as layered PSD files, so a piece sketched on an iPad can be finished in Photoshop. Rindraw's own adjustment layers are saved in the merged picture only, because Photoshop's work differently.

Can Rindraw open PSD files?
Yes, .psd and .psb, with each layer's pixels, name, opacity, blend mode, mask and clipping, in their groups, in RGB, grayscale or CMYK at 8, 16 or 32 bits.
Can I use Photoshop brushes in Rindraw?
Yes. Rindraw imports .abr files, reading each brush's tip, spacing, scattering, jitter and dual brush. Textures and noise are left out.
Does Rindraw keep Photoshop text editable?
No. Type layers and smart objects come in as pixels, and layer styles are left out.
