Guides › Switching to Rindraw

Moving from Adobe Fresco to Rindraw

Fresco exports any artwork as a Photoshop file, and Rindraw opens it with its layers, blend modes and masks.

Step by step

  1. Export it as a PSD. Open the artwork in Fresco, tap Share at the top, then Publish & Export. Under Export As, choose PSD, and tap Export.
  2. Send it on. Choose Rindraw in the share sheet, AirDrop it, or save it to Files.
  3. Open it in Rindraw. Send it to Rindraw with AirDrop or the share sheet, or save it to Files and choose Import in Rindraw's gallery, where you can pick a whole stack of files at once. Each file becomes a drawing of its own.

What comes with you

Rindraw reads each layer's pixels, name, opacity, blend mode, visibility, clipping, locks and mask, in their groups, at the file's resolution and in its color profile.

Questions

How do I get my Fresco art out?

Open the artwork, tap Share, then Publish & Export, choose PSD under Export As, and tap Export.

Do Fresco's vector layers stay vectors?

No, a PSD has them as pixels. For vectors, Fresco exports a PDF; Rindraw imports a PDF a page to a layer, as pixels too.
