Is MediBang Paint free?

Yes, with ads. On the US App Store in October 2026, MediBang Paint for iPad lists a Remove Ads Add-on at $7.99, MediBang Premium plans from $2.99 with extra brushes and materials, and Creative and Filter packs. Rindraw is $12.99 once, with no ads and nothing else to buy.

Do I need an account for MediBang Paint?

Only for its cloud features, such as saving to the cloud and moving work between devices, which need a MediBang account. Rindraw has no accounts at all: your drawings sync between iPad, iPhone and Mac through your own iCloud Drive.

Can Rindraw open MediBang Paint files?

Not .mdp files. Save your work from MediBang Paint as a PSD file, and Rindraw opens it with its layers, masks and blend modes. Rindraw saves layered PSD files too, which MediBang Paint opens.
